Broccoli Salad

Makes 6 servings


  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1/4 -1/2 cup white sugar depending on your preference
  • 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds (I use salted)
  • 1/4 cup of raisins
  • 1/4 cup of finely shredded cheddar cheese 
  • 1 head of broccoli florets cut off (about 4 cups)


  • Whisk together the mayonnaise and sugar, taste it, see if you want more sugar.  Then toss the broccoli in to coat, and sir everything else in.  It will look like there is not enough dressing, but I promise it will be okay.

    Let it sit for at least 4 hours, I think it tastes best the next couple of days.
